All About Me Day

I had an all about me day today. It was so warm and sunny. I woke up and went to get my free coffee I had won. I then proceeded to walk for over 2 hours, just exploring the city around me that I haven't really looked at since coming here back in September.

It seems so weird that it's no longer September. A miracle that it's March. I never thought I would have made it out of September. Back then, it seemed as though getting to Christmas alone was an impossible task. But ... there are only 7 weeks left now. Then I will pack up and rest for a bit then hit the road for road trip. Wow .. March.

FILMING!

Okay, so I am doing a duplicate post, but that's just because I am a lot tired and have a little too much to drink (like everyone else here).

WE STARTED FILMING THIS WEEKEND!!!

Okay well not so much filming as we are in pre-production, but basically we are starting!! OMG I am so excited.

This year has been ... well BLAH!

So, somewhere within in the next 10 weeks we will be getting all the bugs worked out and the scripts finalized and then come May - BAM! Light Camera and the Fun begins!

There are a couple different ways it can go, but as it looks now, musical, it look like it's in the lead. I really thought it was going to be another horror, but with us, it's never predictable. Some depends on Davers, and we are waiting to see what his schedule will allow (which could force and very fast reworking and change of everything.) But whatever happens happens! It wouldn't be the same if we weren't flying by the seats of our pants.

The only thing I'm really concerned about is getting through these next 10 weeks of Hell (which I willingly walked into). But, without hardship we would have no character. So, I'm really pushing to see it through. I'm lucky in that I get a break every year from Hell - where so many don't - but it doesn't make my struggles any less worthy or hard to me personally. I think we can all say that about something. It's hard, but I try to really be grateful for what I have and then deal with what is thrown at me.

Anyway, tonight we sit down for the first official "inking" period after the first brainstorming session of the new project. There are various types of drinks, and lots of ribs a-cooking.

Trudging On

There are only 2 more weeks to get through - 2 weeks & 4 tests - but 2 weeks until 9 days off. I am totally going home and doing ... anything I damn well please! I can't tell you just how excited I am to do this. 

Then it'll be back here, but only for like 9 more weeks. 1 of those is exam weeks, so 8 weeks. And the 8th week, two of my profs were nice and decided to give us two exams that week to break up our 13 classes, so we aren't tested on all of them in one week. Then it's 4 months and I don't have to see this place. And that's a great big YAY!

 

Where did the Tears go?

So, I'm 10 days in ... and there are no tears! This time in September, I was barely holding my head above water. Maybe it hasn't hit me all yet ... and maybe it won't. Maybe, mentally, I'm better prepared going into it this time around.

I'm trying to be more balanced. Last time, I disappeared from the real world (and not in the usual good way I normally do in the summers). I barely talked to anyone beyond the walls of The Abyss. I'm trying to fit in some of the things I love ... now ... while writing will be completely off the table as I just won't have time, I am still going to try and be creative in other areas. I think my biggest problem was my creativity and imagination really did take a back seat to everything, and honestly, I really do think that was a LOT of my problem.

... Now ... if I could just figure out how to "build" this dresser I just bought.

One More Round Of Madness

So ...  one more day until I re-enter reality... again. It was a nice reprieve to come back here for a couple weeks. Well, I fly out of my home tomorrow and get back to there tomorrow night. It won't be until Monday morning, or Sunday might, that I'll be officially back in The Abyss. 

Last time around I decided to only think about these next 3 years in 15 week chunks. That proved to still be a little much with everything thrown at you. So I'm going to do smaller chunks within the 15 week chunks. So Come Monday, I only have to get through 3 weeks until my birthday weekend. That's not bad. 3 weeks and I'll be 1 month in. 1/4 the second stint ... ugh ... okay I went too far. Just focusing on the next 3 weeks.

Man, I can't wait to get back to summer and do something completely unnecessary, but FUN! 

YAAAAAAAAAAAY!

All of my Exams are done,
And the drinking has begun.
Early presents being opened,
Wine glasses accidentally broken.

Fattening foods and fancy cakes,
Just in time to celebrate.
Vampires, wizards and some gore,
Movie marathons that for sure!

Responsibility down the drain,
3 weeks no need to use my brain.
Chocolate, chocolate, rum, and beer,
Raise a glass, Christmas is here.
